Private Atmos Cinema Room – Southend

Full Atmos 7.1.4 Private Cinema Room

The client originally wanted a small system for the living room and was intending to turn their double garage into a gym. They saw our Southend-on-Sea demonstration cinema room and said “Wow, we want this”.

Very careful planning was taken in designing the system; drawings were drawn up for the builder/electrician to build a bespoke wooden frame to hide the speakers and to mount the projector screen. Two rows of 4 Frontrow electric reclining seats were specified as the client wanted a full cinema experience. A raised plinth was built for the seating area to ensure everyone would have the best viewing experience.

The client did not want to see any equipment in the cinema room itself so cables were installed running back to an equipment rack sited in an adjacent room.

Cinema System Equipment

As it was a dedicated Cinema room, a stunning Vutech 11ft fixed anamorphic audio transparent screen was chosen for its excellent picture quality. In addition, a 4k Sony VPL-VW320ES projector was specified, resulting in amazing life-like images.

A Yamaha RXA3050 AV Receiver in combination with a Rotel RB-1552 MKII multi-channel Power Amp, was chosen to drive the Full 7.1.4 (11 speaker) Dolby Atmos system. A Panasonic 4k Blu-Ray player was selected to complete the Home Cinema electronics system to deliver a superb cinema-quality sound and video performance.

Artcousic speakers were used throughout for their discreteness and exceptional audio performance:-

Control & Lighting

A Control4 Smart Home automation system with Rako lighting was used for complete control and ease of use.  Once completed, the client only has to select from the ‘watch’ list of sources and the system then turns on all the necessary components – the projector turns on and the lights slowly fade down.  The system is VERY intuitive and easy to navigate.

Since the installation, the customer said – ‘the whole family are in the cinema every evening either watching movies, sports or playing computer games. Why would we every need to go to the Cinema again?’.

This is a truly amazing Private Atmos Cinema Room that both looks stunning and sounds amazing.
